The Saudi Arabian Mining Company, Ma’aden is engaged in the development of two world scale projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the operation and expansion of its mining business in gold, **** ****ls and industrial minerals. The next five years will see the company develop world scale mines and industrial facilities across the Kingdom representing the largest industrial diversification since the development of the Saudi petrochemical industry.

The first of the company’s mega projects mentioned above is the world’s largest integrated phosphate fertilizer project; mining the raw material at Al Jalamid in the Northern Province and transporting it to the new minerals industry complex at Ras Az Zawr for processing and export. The project, due for completion in 2010 will produce 2.92 million tons per year of DAP when at full capacity.

The second mega-project will be the largest, vertically integrated mine-to-****l operation of its type in the world and is a joint venture with Alcoa. Bauxite reserves will be mined at Al Ba’aitha in the Central Province and then transported also via the new Saudi Arabian Railway to Ras Az Zawr for refining and smelting. The project also includes the development of a rolling mill at Ras Az Zawr.

Ma’aden currently operates five gold mines in the Central and Western Provinces and plans to expand that number in the near future. It currently has over 10 million ounces of gold reserves including those in the Central Arabian Gold Region and extensive interests in exploration for precious and **** ****ls and industrial minerals.

Ma’aden’s headquarters are in Riyadh and the company also has offices in Al-Khobar and Jubail in the Eastern Province and Jeddah on the west coast of Saudi Arabia.

OVERALL JOB PURPOSE
Seasoned HR professional
Minimum of 20 years experience in Human Resources
Significant mining / oil and gas / heavy industry experience preferred
International HR experience, preferably with a global organisation.
Strategic role providing advice to the Executive, the President, and the Board
Executive Development & Coaching

This role provides strategic advice and counselling to the Executive Director HR & IS on all HR matters. In addition the role provides advice to the President & CEO on executive compensation matters as well as executive development. It also is responsible for administering the programs for the executive team.

المهارات
This is a senior practiced professional position.

You will possess a graduate degree in human resources (or related field), and will have worked a minimum of 20 years in the area of International Human Resources. You will also have experience in undertaking special studies/projects and designing and developing effective performance management and reward schemes

The **** of your Human Resource experience will be significantly centered on Management and Executive Development and Executive Compensation, but also having experience in other HR generalist areas, including recruitment, training, performance management etc.
The ability to communicate well, at all levels of the corporation is a must.
English is the operational ******** but Arabic would be a major plus.

Senior Recruitment Specialist / Manager

Drive continuous improvement, recruit for senior international and local vacancies, and help develop, train and mentor the younger employees of the Talent Acquisition team.

Must have over 20 years HR generalist experience, with a special emphasis on Recruitment.

Must be willing to relocate and reside in Saudi Arabia, either on single status or with your family.

General Recruitment Experience
Applications
Receives applications in response to announced vacancies or candidates seeking employment; sorts them by skill level and type, education, nationality, etc. and matches them with known vacant positions.

Data****
Enters information into recruitment data**** and creates individual files for applicants that appear to have the required qualifications requested by employing departments or qualifications that could be of interest to the Company for future reference.

Requisitions
Reviews personnel requisitions received from departments to determine whether or not the request is within approved manpower budget. If within budget raises to supervisor for further processing and if not, informs supervisor and returns requisition to originator to obtain required approvals.

JD & JE
Ensures that requested jobs have up-to-date job de******ions and evaluation. If not, liaises with compensation and benefits and the employing department to obtain the required information.

Advertisements
Drafts recruitment advertisements to be run in the local press and international mediums.

Interviews
Participates in conducting/ screening interviews and makes arrangements with employing departments to interview and select the qualified candidates.
Reference Checks

Conducts reference checks on candidates

Offers
Makes formal offers to candidates, and negotiates to obtain agreement

HR Generalist Experience
Must have significant experience in Training & Development, Compensation and Benefits, Performance Management, Payroll

المهارات
B.A. in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations or *****alent.

20+ years' experience in generalist HR, and Recruitment.

Communication skills

Fluency in English. Arabic would be advantageoud.

Knowledge of computer software operation, in particular recruitment information systems.
